Arts in Counseling
Co-Founder/Owner Lindsay Edwards, MA, LPC, BC-DMT, PMH
Premise: Healing is both a science and an art. We’re born with imagination and creative adaptability, but stress, anxiety, and depression can dim these abilities. Mental health thrives when the brain’s creative systems are engaged—supporting emotional regulation, problem-solving, and connection. And, creative healing is accessible through many platforms.
Approach: With this in mind, Arts in Counseling designed an interdisciplinary care team who prioritizes creativity - Counselors and Social Workers who are Creative Arts
Therapists, Artists, and Integrative Health Practitioners. Because healing is more effective by engaging with experiences alongside talking about them, our team designs opportunities - ie: art-making, movement, improv, mindfulness and creative expression into treatment. Participation invites the body, mind, and spirit into the process, making therapy not just reflective but active. This balance of doing and processing allows insight to grow alongside lived, embodied practice.
Services – Clinical Therapy + Community Arts: Clinical staff offer therapy for individuals across the lifespan, couples, triads, families and groups. They treat Anxiety/Panic/Stress, Body-based dilemmas, Conflict, Depression, Grief, Identity struggles, Men’s mental health, Military experiences, Mood disorders, OCD, Perinatal struggles, Parenting struggles, and PTSD. AiC therapists have specialized training in: EMDR, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT) and Perinatal Mental Health Therapy. AiC artists offer Individual and family arts-based healing sessions [Poetry and spoken word sessions, Drawings and mini-book making and Sound and music making]; Group workshops, intensives and trainings and Organizational contracting.

Kindle Therapy Co
Katie Holzworth, LCSW
Kindle Therapy Co specializes in offering trauma-focused, evidence-based care that helps clients reprocess and integrate what’s been held inside for too long.
In my early years as a therapist, I noticed a pattern. Clients were doing incredible work, showing up, reflecting, growing, but just as we’d start to reach the deeper parts, time would run out.
I built Kindle Therapy Co. around what I saw actually working: longer, focused EMDR Intensives that give people the time and space to move through what’s been stuck and finally feel lighter.
I’m a certified EMDR practitioner with a background in Internal Family Systems (IFS), which allows me to help clients connect with all the different parts of themselves with greater compassion and clarity.
I am also Perinatal Mental Health Certified (PMH-C), with a specialization in supporting parents through birth trauma, pregnancy loss, and TFMR (termination for medical reasons)—experiences that are often deeply isolating and overlooked in traditional therapy spaces.
Over more than 15 years in outpatient and private-practice settings, my work has remained grounded in curiosity, gentleness, and respect for each person’s natural pace of healing.
