Practice Consulting and Training

Owner and Clinical Director Kellie Wicklund and Executive Director Christina Moran offer training and consultation to both group and individual practitioners looking to improve and grow their businesses. With a particular emphasis on the intersection between exceptional clinical expertise and business acumen, we focus on achieving ethical and sustainable growth that centers the client experience as well as the business practicalities.

Why trust us?

Our goal as a business has always been providing premier clinical care, and after six years of sustained growth, the Maternal Wellness Center is an excellent example of how client-centered care can thrive in partnership with business and financial success. We’ve been recognized as a Philadelphia100 Forum Winner for 2023 as a standout business in the region.

We’ve achieved this success by cultivating a careful balance of business-intelligence and high quality therapy that allows for client success, clinician development, and strong culture of excellence. We have intentionally built a practice that prioritizes personal and professional development, and quality living for all employees.

Client Lifecycle Management Training & Consultation

If you want to maximize both client satisfaction and your earning potential, but you don’t know where to begin, this is for you.  Bringing in new clients is labor and resource intensive. Many therapists struggle with client turnover and don’t understand why its happening or how to improve it.

In this field, it isn’t enough just to attract new clients. You have to productively treat and retain those clients for a full course of care. Healed clients lead happier and fuller lives, and are also future referral sources.

Our individualized 2-hour client lifecycle management training will help you and your staff to develop a plan for analyzing your client lifecycle data and locate common and premature client off-ramps in your practice.

You will learn to identify and successfully work through the inevitable treatment-destructive resistances with tried and tested interventions from the body of work of psychodynamic theory and technique. You will better understand client and clinician variables that lead to premature termination and how they manifest in client defenses and transference, and clinician countertransference and counter resistances.

You will learn how to avoid common pitfalls around the friction points in therapy, and become equipped to take more clients through thorough the healing journey that they deserve, need, and want.

Improving your practice’s ability to bring clients to successful treatment means:

  • Happy and healed clients

  • Increased client referrals

  • Improved business stability

  • Increased clinician satisfaction

  • Better return on marketing investments

From the top to the bottom of the organization, this training can help every team member to understand how both healthy client lifecycles and satisfied clients contribute to success.

Consulting Package includes:

  • Initial discovery meeting - 1 hour

  • Tailored intervention presentation for your organization’s specific needs - 2 hours

Our staff’s thoughts about the training:

“This is an excellent presentation. I’m so impressed with the work that Kellie and Christina have done to figure out how to extend treatment to the point of true healing. And training others has the potential to improve mental health care for so many.”

— Lindsay Edwards

“This training helps me to continue to clarify what's going on in the treatment room in the relationship between myself and the patient.  We know a strong relationship between therapist and patient is the biggest predictor of successful treatment and this training helps to name and bring to the surface the attachment dynamics at play.  It helps to demystify resistance and treatment drop out while showing a pathway to deeper treatment and healing.  I left knowing I have my work cut out for me, but also feeling very hopeful. Thanks again!”

— Mary Wilkinson

“This training was great! And also very exciting that the work you and Christina have done is evolving into this awesome consulting work with other groups. It was really helpful to revisit that client lifecycle training we had last year. This definitely has me thinking about many of my clients and what their courses of treatment have looked like. I am interested to talk more about how to continue to identify the expected defenses early and what it looks like to get ahead of that appropriately.”
