Executive Director

Christina Moran, HBCI & Certified Childbirth Educator

Christina came to the Maternal Wellness Center after a 12 year career in higher education administration as a senior director of operations. In that role, she first realized her passion for easing families through major life transitions. After the birth and loss of her first child, she found a new focus on the transitions around all aspects of parenthood. Her experiences with birth, loss, and parenting have made her sensitive to the need for quality mental health care and the importance of building communities of support for all stages of motherhood. Christina received bachelor’s and master’s degrees in writing from St. Joseph’s University. In 2017, Christina certified as a Hypnobabies childbirth education instructor and hypno-doula out of a desire to empower birthing people to make informed choices about their pregnancies and births. In her role at the Center, she is excited to marry her executive skills with her personal commitment to improving the lives of women and families through access to quality mental health care and complementary care.
