Pregnant women can make good decisions—the right decisions for her and her family—with the proper education and support. Expecting moms are empowered to choose the place of birth, their care providers, selective medical interventions, and her baby’s post-birth care. In a safe environment, women can explore and address the emotional needs inherent to the perinatal period and become an active participant in their own health care. Ultimately, healthy moms are changing Philadelphia’s maternal and child health statistics.
Women eligible for the WIC food program meet the income guidelines for the Healthy Moms Initiative. Transportation assistance is provided.
